How to Organize those Christmas Cards

So, the other day, I mentioned one of my goals on my January Checklist was to organize/de-clutter my Christmas cards that I receive each year.

And believe it or not, I have been keeping them for quite a while now just waiting to doing something with them.

In years past, I tried clipping them together with a ring to set out and enjoy. And while that was fine, we honestly didn't really look at them that way.

That's when a friend suggested PLACEMATS last year on her blog.
What a cool idea I thought.

So I ran to Hobby Lobby and grabbed a bunch of Christmas-themed scrapbook paper, along with my scissors and tape.

I figured out what length I wanted my placemats to be and simply taped the paper together on the back. (Technical I know. :)

Then I just started snipping away at all the cards until I could get them to fit the way I wanted them too. I also cut a few of the non-picture cards to add a few little embelishments. You could get as cute and detailed as you want. Then I just taped the pictures to the scrapbook paper.

I plan to laminate these with the heavy-duty laminate at Office Depot or other office supply store and use these each year throughout the Christmas season.

What a great way to stroll down memory lane each year.
Thanks Mandy for the great idea!! :)
