Have you ever visited someone's house and been completely stumped
on how to work their remote control?
This might seem like a silly question and that it is so not a big problem to have. I get it. But still, it has happened to me. It seems like every television/cable provider tries to come up with a more complicated way of watching your favorite show. Often times it takes more than one remote
just to turn the silly thing on. Aghh!
I really got to thinking about this when my mom stayed and watched our kiddos for a few days while the hubs and I took a mini-vacation. (Recommend that by the way. :)
She was not at all familiar with Direct TV and needed my help figuring out how to work the remote. And yes... sometimes a TV is necessary. We don't watch a ton of TV but my kids would probably be sad if they didn't get to watch the newest "Sofia the First" (such a cute show if you have little girls.) There, I said it.
So I decided to write down detailed directions on small sticky notes and then use packaging tape to secure it to our remotes. This way it is there for future need such as other house guests or even a babysitter.
I know, not genius but sometimes it's the little things. Am I right?
This got me thinking...
Are there any " little things" that have made your life easier?
I'd love to hear. :)
