Back to Blogging!!

Hi everyone! I'm back!

If you're just joining in, I decided to take the month of September off of blogging to work on the more technical side of things. And with the help of Becky at The Cutest Blog on the Block, I am feeling a little more up to speed on my blog layout. If anyone is thinking about starting a blog or revamping their current design a bit, I highly recommend TCBOTB. Becky (there are several other designers as well) is very professional, knowledgable, and current---a very good combination when it comes to blog design. Just sayin'.

Well, maybe I should let you all be the judge. If you have been a follower you may notice some differences. The easiest one to spot is the new pic and bio in the header along with some new ways to connect with me.

If you haven't already, and you want to stay connected, please consider following along through the social media of your choice. I recently added Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Blog Lovin, Google+ , and Hometalk. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about all of that. Like I said, I just added these, so many of them are new for me. So followers would be much appreciated! (As would any tips you'd like to share.) And I'd love to follow you as well!

The other main differences are within the navigation bar right below the header. I edited a few pages, such as my "About", "Contact", and "My Shop" pages. Please feel free to check them out. I also added and reorganized my categories within the "Project Gallery".

The newest categories being Client Spaces, Celebrations and Seasonal, and Printables (which I'll be finishing soon.) I'm hoping the projects are much easier to navigate and find.

Aside from editing some pages, I also added two new pages as well. The first one is my "Featured" page which gives information for readers to feature THEIR project(s) on the blog. It also shows where I have been featured and where I sometimes like to link up my own projects!

The final page is my "Services" page which is very exciting to me because it is the first bit of advertising I have done for my own organizing services. And guess what? You know longer have to live in or around Denver to take advantage!

Make sure you visit that page as well!

So those are the main changes that have taken place over here. So, if you were thinking I was taking it easy all month, you were definitely mistaken. Because not only have I been working on the behind the scenes kinds of things, but I've been busting my hump working on projects around our home as well. No I can't tell you....yet. But I will say that you'll want to tune in early next week because I'm participating in The Nester's 31 day series, which means I will be posting....wait for it.....

EVERY DAY for the 31 days of October!!

And incase the suspense is just too much for you to handle, I'll give you a little clue as to what you will be seeing over here. The title of my series is going to be:

Want one more clue??? No more red walls in my kitchen and family room!! Now you have to come back and see what's been happening!! Am I right?

Are you as ready to get started as I am? I hope so because not posting for a month has left me SO inspired and full of material to post about, I can hardly contain myself!!

PS---On a side, not so happy note, along with all of the work I've been doing this past month, we also had to put our 13 year old lab, best buddy, Charlie, down. It was honestly one of the hardest things I've had to do but we knew it was time. Because I consider you all my friends, with whom I share much of my life with, I thought I should share. I'm sure many of you are animal lovers and can relate.
It is truly like losing a family member.
Forever in our hearts Chuckle Buckle.

  1. I'm SO excited to see all the fun new stuff you have planned for the blog, and I'm so sorry you have to put your dog down. Our dogs are like family and I can't imagine. I'm sure the day will probably come but I don't want to think about it right now. :(

    1. Thanks a lot Laurie. Losing a pet is so hard. If/when you have to go through this, I recommend the book Dog Heaven by Cyntha Rylant. Such a beautiful book for kids to have some peace and know that their doggy is in a great place. :)

  2. so sorry for your loss
looking forward to your oct series

    1. Thank you so much ARod. I'm excited to share all sorts of new and fun projects!

  3. Oh my goodness gracious!!!! I can hardly contain my excitement! I don't know what I'm more excited about! The new blog layout and all the exploring I'm going to be doing on it, the fact that you're doing organizing consulting or the fact that you are going to be posting for 31 days straight!!! EEEK! You are so inspiring! I would love to be able to come up with something to post every day or at least every week. It's really been bothering me lately that I don't have more to blog about. I'm going to be working on that. I can't wait to see all that you have in store! Going to go follow you now on Instagram. Not sure what LinkedIn and Hometalk are, but I'm going to check into those too. Anything you could tell me about them would be great! Feel free to message me on Facebook or email me anytime @ So sorry to hear about your precious pet. I'll be praying for you and your kiddos to be able to deal with the loss.

    1. Thank you so much Jamie! This will be a challenge for me--writing every day. But like I said, I've been storing up lots of material over the past month--so I have plenty to write about. As far as Linkedin and Hometalk---I am somewhat new to them as well. Linkedin seems to be more business related while Hometalk is sort of like a "home project" related Facebook. Thanks for your prayers. We are all hanging in there and our other dog (golden retriever) is now getting even more love.

  4. Sorry! I have no idea why my comment posted with so many spaces in it!
