Hi! I'm Susan!

Born and raised a Hoosier (in Southern Indiana) where I grew up loving anything organizing and home decor/renovation related. However, I studied Elementary Education at Indiana University (during the days of Bob Knight) and eventually moved out to Broncos' Country (near Denver, Colorado) where I started teaching 1st and 2nd grade.

A few years later, I met and married my best friend/husband and I decided to leave teaching (in a classroom) and become a stay at home Mom to two curly-haired princesses {5 and 3. You can read more about them here.} As much as I loved, and still love being a mom, I needed an outlet--to redefine myself so to speak. Which has led me to where I am today. Facebook Pinterest

"Creative Order" pretty much encapsulates what I have been striving to achieve since I can remember. What was first an obsession as a child with rearranging/decorating/organizing my room (and house if my parents allowed --thanks Mom and Dad {wink}, eventually spilled over to my classroom for years as an elementary teacher, and has now continued into my own home as well as many others' as a Professional Organizer.

If this is your first time here at A.C.O., WELCOME!! If you are looking for a Personal Organizer to help develop a plan for you or your space please go to my 'Services' page (here). I am a firm believer that "organized" does not have to equal "boring". If you aren't convinced, come check out hundreds of projects/ideas from me and other DIY enthusiasts in my Project Gallery (here) or our Home Tour (here). {If you'd like to feature an organizing project you have done and are excited to share, please visit my Feature page (here).}

My hope is that you will use this site as a "go to" for any organizing dilemmas you may have or inspiration you may need. Please take a few minutes to look around and read up on how we are constantly working on "Achieving Creative Order."
