How To Clean A New Home: 3 Tips To Help You Out

You’ve just purchased a new home. However, one of the first things you should do is clean it. With that said, below are three tips to help you clean new home.

1. Start From The Top Of Each Room
The first tip is to start cleaning from the top and work your way down to the bottom, meaning clean the ceilings first. Work your way down from there, cleaning light fixtures, fans, walls and so forth. You want to do this because you don’t want to clean all the floors and walls, only for them to become dirty again when you start dusting and cleaning ceilings, fans, etc..

2. Use Stain Removers Before Cleaning Floors
Have a look around the new home for stained floors, both on hard floors and carpeting. If there are stains present, then use a stain remover but let the remover settle into the stains. In fact, apply the stain remover 2-3 times prior to cleaning the floors, but do so over the period of a few days. For example, apply the remover on Monday, Tuesday and one more time on Wednesday and then you can start mopping and vacuuming the floors.

3. Clean The Fridge
Finally, clean the fridge. Before you do anything, unplug it and then remove all the shelves and drawers before wiping it down with cleaning products. You don’t want to scratch the surface, so use a soft cloth or soft sponge. If you already have food in the fridge, then remove it and place it inside a cooler, if you think cleaning will take you longer than 20 minutes.

If you have a grease trap installed in your kitchen, clean it and don’t let it full.

Those are three basic tips to help you clean new home. There are a lot of other things you should do, such as clean the stove, counter-tops and disinfect the bathroom and clean out the bathtub/shower. However, the above things are what you should do first.
